A tisket a tasket, I love a good basket

It's Friday!  I went to TJMaxx on my lunch break today and spotted some really cute baskets.  Of course the "dipped" paint look is everywhere these days, like

and here...

I do like the trend and it seems like a pretty easy one to copy on just about anything.  But what's better than that is finding it for practically nothing.

I found these fun baskets at TJ Maxx today.

And, this one's not dipped but it was so cute.

Check out that super cute tray looking basket right there.  It was all I could do to restrain myself from buying them all.  In fact, I left with nothing.  So sad trying to live within my means.

Anyway, hope you all have a safe and wonderful weekend!

It's a chiang mai dragon bathing suit!!!

I was wandering around Dillard's the other day and something caught my eye.  I was like, hold up...is that a chiang mai dragon bathing suit.  And then I was like, oh snap, it is!  It's not acutally a schumacher chaing mai dragon suit but the fabric is incredibly similar.  So much in fact, I wonder if there were any copyright issues.  Maybe they don't know.  Anyway, take a look for your self.

Here is my all time favorite, Schumacher Chiang Mai Dragon print

And here is the amazingly similar bathing suit

The only thing missing from the suit is the dragon.  But it's still cool.
Wonder if I wore this to the pool this Summer, if anyone would be all like, hey, that's chiang mai dragon!

Long time no see

It's been awhile.  Lots going on around here but I have been seeing so many things and I have so many ideas to pass along, so I'm back.

I was checking out One King's Lane this morning and I just can't help but share a few of my favorite finds.

Lantern Love!

Taylor 18" Lantern, Grasshopper

Taylor 18" Lantern, Orange Tree

Isabel 18" Lantern, China Blue

And how long have I been wanting a garden stool?  Forever.

Garden Stool, White

My front porch is calling for this.  I mean, seriously screaming.

Garden Stool, Celadon

Fourmaintraux Vases Slate, Set of 2

Pagoda Mirror, Chinese Red

I am all about some Chinoiserie style.

Just a few things I'm loving lately.

Hope you have a great weekend and I promise I'll be back sooner than 3 months.

Falling Water

Being a design lover and a kid at heart, I was so excited the other day to come across a whole new architecture line of Lego's.  I couldn't believe my eyes...Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater House!  That's exciting stuff!  Don't think I wouldn't put this together and have it out on display in my house.  I told my husband about it and he said, "falling what?  Who's Frank Lloyd Wright?"  I'm like, REALLY?  I thought everyone knew that.  Perhaps just the people who've taken any sort of art appreciation class in college.  Go figure...

You can buy it online from Lego for $99.00.  They have some other great models in the architecture line.

There are a ton more.  If you love design, I highly recommend checking it out.

Be still my heart

While browsing blogs yesterday I came across a beautiful black and white horizontal stripe dress.  I immediately thought I had found a dress to wear to the formal Christmas party we're going to in a few weeks until I saw the price tag.  I clicked on the link and it took me to Kate Spade's website and a $478.00 price tag.  I think I need to keep looking.  But I love the dress so much that I just had to share.  It also comes in one of my favorite color combinations, pink and orange.

I love it.  Classic lines yet fun.

I also wanted to share another black and white beauty that stole my heart a few months ago.

This stunning gown by Oscar de la Renta.  It's perfection if you ask me.

Have you seen any amazing dresses lately?

Lovely organizer

I recently found (and purchased) this organizer at Target. I absolutely love the pattern and what's not to like about orange and gold???

They had other lovely designs and it was so hard to choose, but I did finally chose this one. And, with a price under $8.00 how could I refuse.

Baby shower with candy bar

This weekend I hosted a baby shower for a dear friend. She's having a girl and it was so fun to decorate with pink for a change. I've got 2 boys and they didn't know what to think with so much pink in the house.

Everything turned out great and the candy bar was a hit! Pink, yellow and orange. Such a pretty combination.

Setting up the candy bar the night before

What a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
