Bungalow 4

Seeing as how we have 2 boys and a 2 bedroom house, we are very limited on space.  We actually have quite a bit of storage in our house but there is only one closet in the boys room.  I have seen several pictures of built in bunk beds that I love online. I think that if I do bunk beds that will leave room for 2 dressers and just more floor space.  Take a look at some bunk beds that I love....









Love this one!  This would really be great for the boys and give floor space.















I really like the sconces that most of these pictures have.  It just gives it so much more detail and  looks so inviting.

I had never heard of Essie nail polish until I bought it on impulse at Jcrew a year or so ago.  I thought $8 bucks was a little much, but like I said it was an impulse buy.  Turns out, I love it.  I look for it everytime I'm in the Jcrew store but it's not usually there.  I was really excited when I saw it recently in Walgreeens of all places.  It's still $8 bucks, but it does last a while.  They have such beautiful colors.  You should check it out.  Here are some of the new colors....

I just bought the last two at Walgreens the other day and I am loving them. I don't usually even wear nail polish on my finger nails, but they are just so pretty.  And the Dive Bar color, it looks like peacock blue.  It just shines when the light hits it.  What do you think?  Do you like Essie?

I FINALLY broke down and bought a new camera and am so excited to share pictures of some of the projects I have been working on in the house.  First up....the playroom.  Keep in mind that this room has been our dining room for the past 4 years, but with 2 boys and lots of toys, we need more play space.  Good bye dining room, hello playroom!

I have been thinking for yeas now about wallpapering my guest bathroom.  I just haven't found anything that I fell in love with enough that I know I won't want to change in 6 months.  One of the reasons I love paint so much is because I can change it anytime I want to.  In fact, my kitchen has been about 5 different colors in 4 years.  I like change.  But I think I found one I can live with.  I t has 2 things in it I love.  Stripes and chevron.
I just need to find someone to hang it for me. Take a look....

I love these colors.  The chevron doesn't show up too much on the computer moniter, but trust me, it's there.  What do you think?

You know after looking ath these bathrooms again, it makes me want to do beadboard in the bathroom about 5 feet up the wall and go for a really graphic pattern.  See, I just can't decide.

Ashley, this is for you!  It's been such a long time since I have posted anything on the blog.  I actullay tried to do this post the other day, but lost it all and was too lazy to retype it.  So, here it is. 
We recently bought a new king size bed.  The bed is awesome, but I didn't realize that it would be so much taller than our old queen size bed.  After the bed was delivered, I put our old nightstands next to the bed and they looked like minature doll furniture.  Luckily I was able to move a black dresser that we have over next to the bed and it's the perfect height to be my nightstand.  The problem is that I need something for the other side of the bed.  The spot is pretty limited.  The peice needs to be at least 34 inches tall and no more than 35 inches wide.  While that's not the easiest way to pick out furniture, I have seen a few things that will work and that I like.  Too bad they are way more than I want to pay.  So that's where overlays come into play.  I have seen them used on blog posts over the past few months and I really like them.  What I also like is that you can put them on really inexpensive Ikea furniture.  I just purchased the MALM 4 drawer dresser to be a nightstand.  It's still sitting in the box because it needs to be assembled and I haven't had the time.  Hopefully we (I) will get it done really soon.  And, I just got a new camera today, so pictures will be coming tonight and from now on.  YAY!!!  In the meantime, here are some pictures of overlays that I love.

Spent the weekend in Charleston with Adrian and Lennon.  I love that city.  Great food, great architecture, great shopping.... did I say great food?  Really need to go on a diet now.  Not that I didn't before I went.  Losing baby weight is a bitch.  Thought I would post some pitcures of some of the great Charleston homes that I love.
